The AR FOCUS FUND is organised as a feeder fund under the AR Focus Master Fund in a master-feeder structure.
The Fund was incorporated as an exempted company with limited liability incorporated under the laws of the Cayman Islands on 27 January 2012, and is established to accept investments specifically from non-U.S. persons.
With effect from 2 October 2017, the investment objective of the Fund is to achieve absolute returns through capital appreciation and income from investments in companies which benefit from global secular trends such as innovation, technology advances and demographic changes, where faster growth and stronger income streams are expected. Such companies include, but are not limited to, future leaders at the forefront of social and lifestyle evolution, and adopters of new technology.
Prior to 2 October 2017, the Fund’s investment objective was to achieve gains through capital appreciation and income mainly from investing in companies with large market capitalisation (“Large Cap Companies”) listed on stock exchanges in Asia-Pacific ex Japan, or Large Cap Companies with significant business interests or exposure in Asia, whose stock are listed on other stock exchanges. Large Cap Companies are generally defined as those with a market capitalisation of at least USD 5 billion at the point of investment.
